What you are agreeing to

Last updated: 11 September 2026

Between Appalachian Sites (Joost Besijn, sole trader, registered in the Netherlands, KVK 42162204), called “I” and “me” below, and you, the business named on the invoice, called “you”.

It is short on purpose. You should be able to read the whole thing before your coffee goes cold.

What you are buying

Whichever of these you picked when you signed up.

Tier 1, Google Listing, $99 once. I claim and verify your Google Business Profile where it is not already yours, fill in your hours, services, service area, description and photos, and set up a review link you can send customers. No website.

Tier 1, optional maintenance, $35 a month. Optional, and you can start it or stop it without touching the $99. It covers your listing kept accurate as things change, a reply written to every new review, a post on the listing each week, and whatever Google gets wrong put right.

Tier 2, Website only, $299 once. I build you a one page website and hand you the files and the domain. You see a free demo of your own site before you decide anything. The Google listing work is not included here, that is tier 1 or tier 3.

Tier 2, optional hosting, $59 a month. Optional on the same terms. It covers hosting, the certificate, the domain renewal, small changes when you ask, and a monthly check that nothing has quietly broken.

Tier 3, Website + Google listing, $349 once. Tier 1 and tier 2 together, for $49 less than buying them separately.

Tier 3, optional hosting and maintenance, $79 a month. Optional on the same terms. Both monthlies in one, for $79 instead of $94.

What “small changes” means

Text edits, new photos, changed prices, a new service added to the list, updated hours. The kind of thing that takes me minutes. Fair use, not unlimited.

If you want a second and third page, an online booking system, a shop, or a redesign, that is new work and I will quote it before I start. I will never do paid work you have not agreed to first.

What I need from you

Photos of your work, and correct details: services, prices, hours, service area. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you give me to publish, including any licence or insurance claims.

For the Google work you give me manager access to your Business Profile. You stay the owner of it and can remove my access at any time.

How long it runs

The one off part ($99, $299 or $349) is a single payment for a finished job. There is nothing to run on and nothing to cancel.

The monthly part ($35, $59 or $79) is optional on every tier and has no minimum term. Month to month from the first month, and either of us can stop it with one month of notice. Stopping it does not undo anything you already paid for.

Notice by email is fine. No forms, no phone calls, no retention speech.

What happens if you stop

The site is yours. I hand over the files and the domain and you can host it wherever you like. I do not hold your website hostage to keep you paying. What stops is the hosting, the changes, and the Google work.

Money

The build fee is due before I start. The monthly fee is charged in advance on the same day each month, by card, automatically.

If a payment fails I will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid after 14 days I can pause the service until it is settled.

Prices include no sales tax. As a non US business I do not charge you US sales tax, and I am not registered for VAT on services to US businesses.

What I do not promise

I cannot promise you a position in Google’s results, a number of calls, or a number of customers. Nobody honestly can. Google decides that, and it changes. What I promise is that the work gets done properly and that your listing and site are set up the way Google wants them.

I also cannot control Google itself. If Google suspends or changes your listing I will do everything I can to get it back, but the outcome is theirs, not mine.

If something goes wrong

If I break something, I fix it. Beyond that, what I owe you is capped at what you have paid me in the last three months. I am one person running a small business, not an agency with an insurance department, and pricing this low only works on that basis.

Your data

I only handle what I need to do the work: your business details, the photos you send, and access to your Google profile. I do not sell it or share it with anyone. Full detail is on the privacy page.

Law

Dutch law applies and disputes go to the Rechtbank Noord Nederland, location Groningen. In practice, if we have a problem, email me and we will sort it out like adults.

Changes

If I need to change these terms I will email you at least 30 days beforehand. If you do not like the change, cancel. No notice period is required for that.

Agreed by ticking the box at checkout, and by paying the first invoice.
